1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GhostNumber, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Description of Service

GhostNumber is a communication platform that allows users to:

• create an account using email and password;
• verify a phone number via SMS;
• receive a virtual phone number;
• place outbound calls through the platform;
• receive inbound calls forwarded to a verified number;
• view call history and manage contacts;
• manage subscriptions and billing.

The platform primarily supports United States phone numbers.

3. Call Functionality

GhostNumber connects calls using a callback system through third-party providers.

• the platform calls your verified phone;
• after you answer, it connects the destination number;
• calls are routed through third-party providers such as Twilio.

Calls may fail, drop, or not connect. Call quality and caller ID behavior may vary depending on providers and carriers.

4. Virtual Numbers

Each user may receive a virtual number. Numbers are provided by third-party providers, are not owned by the user, and may be reassigned or released.

5. Number Lifecycle

• Active: 45 days after payment
• Grace period: up to 60 days total
• After 60 days: number is released automatically

After release, the number may be permanently lost and cannot be recovered.

6. Account & Number Deletion

If you delete your account or number, the number is released, cannot be recovered, remaining minutes may be forfeited, and trial eligibility may remain restricted.

7. Free Trial

A free trial may be offered with limitations:

• one trial per user;
• one trial per phone number;
• abuse detection mechanisms apply;
• trial access may be restricted at any time.

8. Billing & Usage

• usage may be rounded;
• minimum usage may apply;
• connection time may be counted;
• failed calls may still consume usage time.

No refunds are provided for used minutes.

9. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe. We are not responsible for payment failures, banking issues, or processor downtime.

10. SMS Verification

SMS messages are used only for account verification and security purposes. No marketing or promotional SMS messages are sent.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use GhostNumber for fraud, scams, harassment, abuse, illegal activity, spam, automated calling, impersonation, deception, or violating telecommunications laws.

12. Restricted Calls

The service may block emergency numbers, short codes, premium numbers, restricted destinations, and high-risk destinations.

13. Service Availability

Service availability may vary depending on region and third-party providers. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

14. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts if these Terms are violated, fraud or abuse is suspected, or legal/security risks are identified.

15. Data & Logs

We may store call logs, verification logs, billing records, and security-related data.

16. No Emergency Use

GhostNumber is not an emergency service. Do not use the service for emergency calls such as 911 or 112.

17. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for call failures, lost numbers, lost usage or credits, service interruptions, indirect losses, or business losses.

18. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where applicable.

19. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.
