GhostNumber is a communication platform that allows users to:
The platform primarily supports United States phone numbers. Separate International Number functionality may offer available US or UK virtual numbers for international customers, subject to provider availability, pricing, compliance, and carrier restrictions.
GhostNumber connects calls using a callback system through third-party providers.
Calls may fail, drop, or not connect. Call quality and caller ID behavior may vary depending on providers and carriers.
GhostNumber may support conversational SMS messaging through assigned virtual phone numbers.
Carrier filtering, telecommunications restrictions, anti-spam systems, unsupported destinations, or provider limitations may block, delay, or prevent SMS delivery.
IMPORTANT: SMS messaging through GhostNumber is NOT end-to-end encrypted. Users should avoid sending highly sensitive, confidential, financial, medical, government, or legally privileged information through SMS messaging features.
GhostNumber messaging services operate through third-party telecommunications infrastructure providers, cloud providers, telecommunications carriers, and external service platforms including but not limited to: Twilio, telecommunications routing partners, mobile carriers, and secure infrastructure providers such as Supabase.
SMS messages, message content, phone numbers, delivery metadata, timestamps, routing information, conversation history, and related telecommunications records may transit through, be processed by, and be temporarily stored within such third-party systems in order to provide messaging functionality, conversation synchronization, spam prevention, carrier compliance, fraud prevention, telecommunications routing, customer support, billing operations, security monitoring, and legal compliance obligations.
By using GhostNumber messaging functionality, users acknowledge, understand, and expressly consent to such transmission, processing, routing, storage, and handling of messaging-related information by GhostNumber and its connected telecommunications and infrastructure providers.
GhostNumber does not actively monitor or manually review private conversations as part of normal operations. However, GhostNumber, its providers, telecommunications carriers, or authorized personnel may access, review, preserve, or disclose messaging-related information where reasonably necessary for:
Users are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of all communications sent or received through GhostNumber services.
GhostNumber strictly prohibits: spam, phishing, fraud, scams, harassment, unsolicited bulk messaging, impersonation, illegal solicitation, malicious communications, telecommunications abuse, and unlawful activity.
Accounts, numbers, messages, or related telecommunications records may be suspended, blocked, restricted, reviewed, preserved, or disclosed where abuse, fraud, illegal activity, carrier violations, or security risks are suspected.
When a user deletes a number or account, GhostNumber may remove associated messaging history from active systems. However, certain telecommunications records, security logs, billing records, fraud-prevention records, carrier compliance records, or legally required retention data may be retained for a limited period where required by law, telecommunications regulations, security obligations, or legitimate operational purposes.
Users acknowledge and understand that standard SMS telecommunications systems are not designed to provide end-to-end encrypted communication.
GhostNumber is a telecommunications-based communication platform and not a secure encrypted messaging service such as Signal, WhatsApp end-to-end encryption, or similar encrypted communication systems.
Users must not assume that SMS messages, conversation history, telecommunications metadata, or related communications are completely private, anonymous, untraceable, or immune from lawful access, carrier processing, telecommunications routing, or security monitoring.
SMS messages may transit through multiple telecommunications carriers, telecommunications exchanges, cloud providers, routing providers, infrastructure providers, and international telecommunications systems before reaching their destination.
Telecommunications carriers, telecommunications providers, and infrastructure providers may independently process, filter, scan, block, archive, review, or retain telecommunications traffic in accordance with their own policies, industry obligations, security systems, carrier rules, and applicable law.
Users should avoid sending passwords, banking credentials, payment card information, private authentication codes, medical information, classified information, legal secrets, or highly confidential information through SMS messaging functionality.
GhostNumber uses automated and manual systems intended to detect, prevent, and investigate:
GhostNumber does not routinely read or manually monitor private user conversations as part of normal operations. However, limited review, preservation, or disclosure of messaging-related information may occur where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, carrier compliance, legal compliance, or abuse investigations.
Users acknowledge that GhostNumber operates within telecommunications industry rules, carrier requirements, A2P messaging regulations, anti-spam obligations, and telecommunications compliance frameworks.
Messaging traffic may be:
Users remain solely responsible for all calls, messages, communications, telecommunications activity, and content transmitted through their account, assigned number, or messaging functionality.
Users are responsible for ensuring that:
Although GhostNumber may remove messaging history from active application systems following deletion requests, account deletion, or number deletion, users acknowledge that certain information may temporarily remain within:
Deletion from all systems may not occur immediately. Certain records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, telecommunications compliance, legal obligations, dispute handling, or legitimate operational purposes.
International Number is a separate service flow that uses wallet credit instead of the standard GhostNumber minute package. Wallet credit may be used for international virtual number purchases, renewals, outgoing calls, incoming forwarded calls, supported messaging, and other enabled services.
International virtual numbers are currently limited to available United States and United Kingdom numbers. Availability, number type, monthly price, renewal price, calling support, and messaging support may change depending on provider inventory, telecommunications rules, carrier restrictions, and compliance requirements.
For outgoing calls, GhostNumber may display an estimated per-minute rate before the call starts. The call may first connect to the user's verified phone and then connect to the destination number. For incoming calls, calls placed to the user's US or UK virtual number may be forwarded to the user's verified phone and charged from wallet credit.
Rates and final charges may depend on destination country, carrier routing, provider cost, call status, billable duration, rounding, number type, and platform markup. Displayed rates are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. Final billing may be based on records received from telecommunications providers.
If wallet credit is insufficient, International Number calls, renewals, messaging, or other wallet-based features may be blocked, limited, interrupted, or disabled. Calls may not start if the wallet cannot cover the required minimum cost. Calls may also be automatically limited or ended when the available wallet balance only covers a limited call duration.
eSIM mobile data is offered as a separate service and may be available to both US and international customers. eSIM availability, coverage, activation, data speeds, validity periods, and pricing depend on the applicable eSIM provider, destination country, network operator, and local network conditions.
