1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GhostNumber, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Description of Service
GhostNumber is a web-based communication platform that allows users to:
- create an account and authenticate;
- verify a phone number via SMS;
- receive a virtual (Ghost) number;
- place outbound calls using a bridge system;
- receive inbound calls forwarded to a saved number;
- view call history and manage contacts;
- manage subscriptions and billing.
The platform primarily supports United States phone numbers.

3. How the Calling System Works
GhostNumber uses a bridge/callback system:
- the platform calls your verified phone;
- after you answer, it connects the destination number;
- calls are routed through third-party providers (e.g. Twilio).
You acknowledge:
- calls may fail, drop, or not connect;
- caller ID behavior depends on carriers;
- call quality is not guaranteed.

4. Virtual Numbers
Each user may receive a virtual number ("Ghost Number").
This number:
- is provided by a third-party provider;
- is not owned by the user;
- can be reassigned or released.

5. Number Lifecycle (VERY IMPORTANT)
Ghost Numbers follow this lifecycle:
- Active: 45 days after payment
- Grace period: up to 60 days total
- After 60 days: number is released automatically
After release:
- number may be lost permanently;
- cannot be recovered;
- may be assigned to another user.

6. Number Deletion & Account Deletion
If you delete your number or account:
- your number is released from Twilio;
- it cannot be recovered;
- remaining minutes are lost;
- trial eligibility may remain blocked.

7. Free Trial Rules
GhostNumber may offer a free trial.
Limitations:
- one trial per user;
- one trial per phone number;
- abuse detection is enforced;
- trial can be blocked anytime.

8. Billing & Usage
Usage is calculated based on system logic.
- calls may be rounded;
- minimum usage may apply;
- bridge time may be counted;
- failed calls may still consume seconds.
No refunds for used minutes.

9. Payments
Payments are processed via third parties (e.g. Stripe).
We are not responsible for:
- payment failures;
- bank issues;
- processor downtime.

10. SMS Verification
SMS is used ONLY for:
- account verification;
- security confirmation.
No marketing messages are sent.

11. Acceptable Use
You must NOT use GhostNumber for:
- fraud, scams, harassment;
- illegal calls;
- spoofing for abuse;
- spam or robocalls;
- impersonation;
- violating telecom laws.

12. Restricted Calls
The platform blocks:
- emergency numbers (911, 112, etc);
- short codes;
- premium numbers;
- high-risk destinations.

13. Service Availability
GhostNumber is not guaranteed globally.
Service may:
- change anytime;
- be limited by region;
- be affected by providers.

14. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts if:
- Terms are violated;
- fraud is suspected;
- abuse is detected;
- legal risk exists.

15. Data & Logs
We may store:
- call logs;
- verification logs;
- billing records;
- security data.
---
16. No Emergency Use
GhostNumber is NOT an emergency service.
Do NOT use for:
- 911
- 112
- urgent situations

17. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for:
- call failures;
- lost numbers;
- lost minutes;
- service downtime;
- business losses.

18. GDPR & Legal Compliance
We comply with applicable laws including GDPR where required.
You are responsible for legal use of the service.

19. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms anytime.
